wow.export

Website GitHub

wow.export is the most popular 3D export toolkit for World of Warcraft, allowing you to export models, textures, sounds, maps and much more into common 3D formats.

Originally as an evolution of WoWExportTools by Marlamin, we've gone on to develop wow.export into a foundational tool for modern content-creation within the World of Warcraft community.

wow.export has been used in the creation of projects such as the Oscar-nominated Netflix documentary The Remarkable Life of Ibelin, the official Mythic Dungeon International and Arena World Championship trailers and so many other projects by talented content-creators and makers.

Archaeology - 2023 Mod Contest

Link

My winning entry for the 2023 Melvor Idle mod contest! Archaeology is a passive skill that adds six themed digsites for players to construct, excavate and master. Each digsite brings unique new items in the form of collectibles, treasure and interactive curiosities.

Each digsite features rare artifacts that come together as a collection, unlocking a unique pet upon completion. In addition to artifacts and treasure, you also have a rare chance to uncover curiosities - items that hold great rewards, though reaching the treasure inside is not always so simple!

When designing my contest submission, I wanted to create something that felt like official content - cohesive with the game mechanics while staying thematically grounded in the RuneScape vibe that Melvor Idle is inspired by.

Melvor Multiplayer - 2024 Mod Contest

Link

My winning entry for the 2024 Melvor Idle mod contest! Melvor Multiplayer brings the sense of community we know and love from RuneScape into the world of Melvor.

Trade and gift items between friends, buy and sell at the global marketplace, contribute to united campaign efforts, plant seeds at the charity tree, collect exclusive pets, and more!

Between the years of 2015 and 2022, I created hundreds of World of Warcraft 3D renders. This started out as an experimental process to explore what was possible with wow.export as we developed it, but grew into a side hobby and eventually into commissioned work.

Holding Out for a Healer

Watch

Stood in Karazhan (the dungeon) in 2017, waiting for a healer to join, I jokingly started singing that we were holding out for a healer...

One thing quickly lead to another and I ended up writing and animating a parody song with the ever-talented Sharm and SilverLetomi!

I had absolutely no idea this was going to be as popular as it was! At the time of writing, the video has amassed over 4 million views and was featured by both Blizzard Entertainment and YouTube Gaming. Crazy!

Runsafe (Minecraft Server)

GitHub

Back in 2009, I was in a guild raiding Ulduar in World of Warcraft. After raids, more and more of us started trying out this new game called Minecraft. We quickly set up a little server for our guild, which then expanded to friends of friends.

As popularity grew, we began building a framework to help manage it. Things evolved rapidly from there - the server eventually reached over 70,000 players. With a completely bespoke server core, we stood out for our ability to do things differently.

The server still exists today, over a decade later, and is now actively maintained by some of the original moderators.
